Just how many of the drivers whizzing down the Colnbrook By-Pass notice this bridge parapet? The Colne rises near North Mymms in Hertfordshire and splits into the Colne Brook near Uxbridge before terminating in the Thames. In taking its name from the river Colnbrook has see fit to drop the 'e'. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Colne,_Hertfordshire
