A small burn in the shallow valley of Hawickshiel flows east to join the River Leader below Chapel Mains. The burn has been dammed to create this attractive pool near Chapel Mains Farm. The pool has been stocked with Rainbow Trout and I have seen an Otter here when the Leader was in spate.
