When approaching this lovely village green pub in the dark and in the rain we thought, "this will be expensive". It wasn't. It is now a well run Marston's Tavern, serving their usual fare, and well kept beers from the Marston's chain of breweries. Although now set up for serving a lot of low priced decent pub grub, it retains enough real pub ambience to feel "local" when the dining has finished. Recommended (2011).
