The train is the 08.00 Neyland - Paddington express, headed by Riddles 7P 4-6-2 No. 70016 'Ariel' (built 9/51, withdrawn 8/67). Several 'Britannia's worked on WR to South Wales and the West Country for nearly 10 years from 1952, latterly all working from Cardiff Canton Depot.
