This carries the Stechford Avoiding Line over the River Cole. The Stechford Avoiding Line runs for 2.6 miles between Stechford Junction on the West Coast Mainline and Aston Junction South on the Cross City Line. It enables freight trains travelling between Coventry and the Black Country to avoid Proof House Junction, Curzon Street Junction and New Street Station.
