This road is slightly unusual as it doubles up as a residential side road, as well as a rear access road for the nearby Homebase store, whose hoarding can be seen by the tree to the right. The lamp post shown in this shot is also very unusual - it is a Thorn Alpha 8 MKII lantern (discontinued in the 1980s) mounted upon an old Thorn aluminium column, which are quite rare to find these days! Looking south-southeast from Fulbourne Road.
