Seen from an out-and-back riverside path which begins at St Leodegarius' Church in Old Basford and goes nowhere. The distant tower blocks on Hartley Road in Radford show above the tram depot's curved roof. The original twisting and flood-prone course of the Leen - a tributary of the Trent - has been much altered and straightened in Basford, Whitemoor, Bobbers Mill, Radford and Lenton.
