Wonderful red sandstone office building on Waterloo Street in Glasgow City strategically placed between the Communist Party and the Scottish Government. Thanks to fellow Geographer John Allan for his additional research as follows - The building which is at 64 Waterloo Street housed the Glasgow offices of DCL for many years and the sign above the statues read 'The Distillers Company Limited'. The place was built for Wright and Greig Ltd at the end of the nineteenth century who also founded the Dallas Dhu distillery in Forres. The distillery was bought by DCL in 1929 who also possibly acquired this building at the same time. The statue to the left of the doorway is of Roderich Dhu, the emblem of Wright and Greig's Roderick Dhu whisky.
