The station at Sole Street has a real country air about it, and, appropriately, although many fast trains on their way from Victoria to the Medway Towns and beyond pass through, only one train an hour stops for most of the day. The day I took this photograph there were some very frustrated people on the platform who had just realised they would have to wait over three quarters of an hour for the next train in either direction.
