Tenement and shops at the corner of Gorgie Road and Wheatfield Street. The street name suggests that this is where the urban area petered out when these buildings were first erected in the late 1880s, but in fact it derives from a land charter of 1656! The street provided access to the North British Distillery which is still in operation.
