This church hall is beside Image The Frankie Howerd Centre was name after & officially opened by Frankie Howerd. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankie_Howerd for more details about the local comedian. The Official opening of the centre was also attended by the local MP. It was named after him because prior to the renovations, because the hall had a stage where Frankie Howerd's first performances occurred He also did go to a local Church Dramatic Society and was a St Barnabas Sunday School teacher.
