Behind Stanmer House, in a C17th wellhouse. The "iron gear wheels and belt transmission date from c1850; the horsewheel was brought from elsewhere and the engine was originally powered by oxen." This is from the listing, some internet sources say it was driven by donkeys. Grade II listed.
