Cable and plough train, Brookhill near Lisburn

Renewing the signalling cables between Lisburn and Antrim, in 1983, involved the use of CIE rolling stock. In this case the plough and cable train which could plough a furrow and lay the cables more or less simultaneously. The train hauled by a NIR GM locomotive is at the Ballinderry Road bridge at Brookhill.
