This barn was built due to the increased demand on the agricultural system during the Napoleonic wars when grain imports ceased. It has been restored internally to a very high standard for events such as weddings and meetings. The finishing touches are being added by builders. The work started in February 2011, before it was occupied by owls. See http://www.bruisyardhall.co.uk/page/bruisyard-barn.
