A former dyeworks at Merton Abbey Mills, claimed (on a plaque on the building) to be "London's oldest industrial building" as it incorporates part of the medieval buildings of Merton Priory, although most of the building dates from 1742. It is grade 2 listed (List Entry Number 1080891) and now functions as a theatre.
