This is a centre for the teaching of laparoscopic surgical techniques - keyhole surgery. At the Congress of the British Society for the History of Medicine Professor Michael Bailey showed us 3D films of the surgeon's view of operations - truly "cutting edge" techniques.See http://www.mattu.org.uk/. We also saw remote video of the start of an operation in progress.
