Originally known as Upper Bevendean Farm to differentiate from another down in the valley known as Lower Bevendean Farm. Since the demolition of the latter to make way for the post war suburb of Bevendean the farm has lost the prefix. In the distance on the left is the suburb of Hollingdean lying to the south of Hollingbury Park whilst to the right Ditchling Beacon can be made out.
