Looking at the town side of the Eastgate from Jury Street. The gateway in the former town wall dates back to the 12th century and the chapel above was added in the 15th century when it was moved here from High Street. It was rebuilt in 1788 and is now leased as part of King's High School for Girls. It was used until fairly recently but is now in need of repair and renovation. It was recently sold at auction in London to a businessman who purchased it unseen. Notice the Image between the main and pedestrian arches. This is one of a pair in Warwick and is of a very rare type. The other is situated at Image
