The Parish Church of St John the Divine, on East Beach, was erected in 1848-9, and consecrated on the 11th September 1850. It was a mission church of St Cuthbert's until St John's became a parish in its own right in 1870. The church is a Grade II* listed building (http://www.britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/en-385273-church-of-st-john-lytham-st-annes )
