In addition to the 31 bus bays in Newport Bus Station, there are terminus bus stops nearby, such as in Market Square. http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1941754 The stops seen here are on Kingsway, alongside the Riverfront Centre http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1451413 opposite the bus station. Passengers are about to board an Edwards coach, probably on a coaching holiday. Behind the second blue coach is a red Veolia bus, currently not in service.
