Century Mill, Farnworth

Image: © Chris Allen Taken: 20 Aug 2011

An early 20th century cotton spinning mill using ring frames and powered by a 1500 horsepower Hick, Hargreaves cross compound steam engine. Now in multiple occupancy. The chimney is a fine example but there is evidence that bits have been falling off. The engine house was round the back and has been demolished.
