In 1935 Hornsey Town Hall was the recipient of the gold medal awarded by the Worshipful Company of Tylers and Bricklayers. Hornsey Town Hall was built to the designs of architect Reginald H. Uren, and in 1981 was declared a Grade II* listed building. It has been under-used for many years, however, plans a are afoot to convert the building for a theatre group.
