Bridge over the River Churnet

This Grade II listed bridge is described as being 18th century. It spans a portion of the River Churnet which would have been remodelled at the time that James Brindley's mill was built, and the oldest available OS maps (1879) show it as giving access just to a small yard, leading to the mill weir. Could it be that the bridge was in fact designed by Brindley himself?
