The only remnant of the former locomotive works which once occupied a large amount of land to the east of the station. The pillars held up the works and allowed a siding to link the mainline to the goods yard. That siding is now a footpath with some attached greenery that links the New England Quarter to New England Road. All the pillars have had metal artwork attached as a reminder of the area's industrial heritage. Vantage Point is the large block that can be seen to the left.
