There isn't much play equipment at Shepley Playing Field on Cemetery Road, Audenshaw. Most of it was in disrepair and removed by the local council in 2009. In March 2011 a "kick wall" was erected. It is a wall for children to kick their balls against. Its erection was ridiculed in the local and national press.
