The shop is a community-run enterprise, with a large number of volunteers spending a few hours each to help run the store. It opened on the 31st January 2009, and the subsequent year it won an award for Village Shop of the Year 2009. Prior to the opening, the village had been without a shop for around 20 years. The building behind the store is Feckenham Garage.
