Durham Castle and Cathedral

Seen from the Prince Bishops shopping centre. The two buildings form the Durham World Heritage Site, established by UNESCO in 1986. The site's architectural importance lies in the fact that the cathedral and castle are among the greatest monuments of the Norman Conquest of Britain.
