This is in station road, once the site of Bentley railway station, previously Bentley Junction. At one time a junction of the Great Eastern mainline with a branch line to Hadleigh. It closed in 1966. See Image] by Ben Brooksbank The radio mast is used for CSR (Cab Secure Radio) to allow train drivers to communicate to base. CSR will be superseded by GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications - Railway) in November 2011.
