This walkway along the river Annan at Moffat is known as "Dr Wattie's Walk" in memory of the late Dr WJ Gillies. The path was restored in 2008 and forms part of the long-distance path, the Annandale Way http://www.annandaleway.org. At the southern end, the path gives onto the Beattock Road, A701.
