On the corner of Ditchling Road and Oxford Street. The pub is opposite The Level an open public park and former cricket ground since the 18th century and commemorates the old game bat and trap, a game related to cricket, which is displayed on the pub sign in Ditchling Road. The sign in Oxford Street commemorates the former cricket ground.
