This is the view from the former Great Central Railway overbridge. The flats on the left are on Hartington Street. The 1885 Ordnance Survey map, which predates the railway, shows the area on the left occupied by a hosiery manufactory. By the time that the 1919 map was produced the factory had its own railway sidings.
