Standedge Railway Tunnel

In 1894 the London and North Western Railway opened the Standedge railway tunnel, with a double track and a length of 3 miles, 60 yards (4806 m) the tunnel is the third longest in Britain after the Severn Tunnel and the Sheffield to Manchester route's Totley Tunnel.
