Valley east of Clayhanger

The head of a valley draining east into the Tone; immediately west is a low col, beyond which the valley drains the other way into the Batherm. On the far side of this valley rise Combe Downs. These are the last fields in Devon; the line of trees running up the hillside marks the course of the county boundary with Somerset. The small wood on the right, Westcott Covert, is on this side of the boundary.
