The stone, dated 1625, is built into the north-western wall of the kirkyard of Image It is almost as old as the first Old West Kirk building, which stood nearby (see the last-cited link); the stone dates from only about 34 years later. The wall also includes the oldest surviving gravestones from the original kirkyard: Image and Image
