This pub sits at the foot of the downs on the junction of the Pilgrims' Way with the Hollingbourne/Sittingbourne Road. It was called the King's Head when I first came across it in the early 1970s, changed its name to the Pilgrim's Rest soon after and changed again to the Dirty Habit in the 1990s I think. Food was Thai, as was the landlady when I took this picture. I gather it has changed hands again since.
