21 and 24 Holborn Viaduct

Number 24 is one of (originally) four buildings erected at each corner of Holborn Viaduct. Built in 1863-69 by William Haywood, Surveyor to the City, in an Italian gothic style. It also provides pedestrian access to Farringdon Street below. Grade II listed. The concrete block next door dates from 1972-76 and was designed by T.P. Bennett and Son.
