Viewed from the edge of the B4265, looking along Llanmaes Road. Llantwit Major, in the Vale of Glamorgan, is a town with a population of about 13,000. The English form of the town's name appears to be a garbled form of the Welsh name, Llanilltud. The town is twinned with Le Pouliguen, France.
