The Welsh name of the church, Eglwys St Cwrdaf, is shown on the church board. The church, located near the northern edge of the village, is medieval and may predate the Norman Conquest. Grade II listed in 1999. A local legend is that the churchyard is the final resting place of Owain Glyndŵr, the last native Welshman to be Prince of Wales.
