The Glasfryn Forest

This is a forest that has developed in the last half century thanks to the enterprise of the owner Mr Richard Williams-Ellis. Mr Williams-Ellis a member of an old Welsh landowning family is the cousin of the famous architect Clough Williams-Ellis the creator of the Italianate Village at Portmeirion Image The forest is planted on Grade 5 agricultural land - mostly peaty bogland with an impervious boulder clay sub-soil. The enterprise provides much needed work in the area. http://www.glasfrynfencing.co.uk
