Here just beyond the containers used as a store for coal and pet food is a speed restriction sign. Motorists having just travelled along roads with speed limits set in kmph are now reminded that the speed limits are now in miles per hour. Such signs are the only indication that an international border has just been crossed. Not so long ago there would have been a customs post and, during "The Troubles", police and military checkpoints often on both sides of the border.
