Dyrham: The Crown at Tolldown

Located on the east side of the A46 this is the Grade II Listed Crown. Constructed of coursed limestone rubble it dates from the early 18th century. Old Ordnance Survey maps currently available online show that from 1882 to 1921 at least the pub was known as the Tolldown Inn. Only by the 1977 edition is it shown as The Crown.
