Steps to Holton Mill

Holton post mill > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2485661 was built in 1749 by John Swann. The mill was last worked in 1910 and then largely stripped of machinery and used as a summer house. The fantail was added during this time. Gradually the mill fell derelict but was restored in the late 1960s with more conservation work being carried out in 1992. The mill is situated in the grounds of a private residence, Mill House, and is occasionally open to the public.
