Robert John 'Bobby' Tulloch was born on a croft at Aywick on the east side of Yell, on 4th January 1929, the oldest of four children. He was the RSPB representative for Shetland for almost 30 years from the 1960s to the 1990s, and was awarded an MBE in 1994.
