Immediately in front of the west door of the Minster Church of St John the Baptist there is a memorial stone set flat in the paving. The stone records the names of four orphans who died whilst at the Blue Coat School: Image The Blue Coat School was demolished in 1965 http://www.calderdale.gov.uk/wtw/search/controlservlet?PageId=Detail&DocId=100152
