Extensive regeneration is ongoing on former industrial sites all along the Caldon canal in Stoke-on-Trent. New apartments can be seen in the distance. The old buildings in this image are unlikely to survive, as the canalside landscape is changing rapidly. Spot the difference between this image and my earlier one from 2007. Image] The towpath has been upgraded to a very high standard, complete with high quality mooring rings. Canalwise, for boat crews this is in the middle of nowhere, so I suggest there will be major retail facilities within three years, economic recession permitting.
