View NW, towards Worcester etc. on the ex-GWR London - Reading - Oxford - Worcester - Hereford/Wolverhampton main line; adjoining the ex-GWR station on the left is the ex-Midland station on the (Birmingham) Barnt Green - Redditch - Ashchurch line - closed 1/10/62 - 9/9/63, Ashchurch being ahead at this point, the line from the Birmingham direction having crossed over the GWR a short distance behind the camera. The Class D freight is headed by 4-6-0 No. 6907 'Davenham Hall' (built 11/40, withdrawn 2/65).
