Looking over the dismantled bridge of the railway line from Alnwick to Coldstream. Opened in 1887, passenger services were discontinued in 1930 although there was a brief revival during World War II to serve RAF Milfield. Freight continued on the line, some parts not closing until 1965. The view is towards Alnwick.
