A used car dealer just opposite the entrance to Munton's maltings Image The road here is the old A45, now the B1113. This section is dual carriageway. It was the main road from Felixstowe to the Midlands and ran through Needham Market, Stowmarket and Bury St Edmunds until the new A45 (now renumbered the A14) was built in the late 1970s.
