The triangular area bounded by the fence on the right, the far fence and an imaginary line from the fence corner in the foreground to the far fence in line with the trees has been designated Open Access Land. Why? The land is pasture and no different from the remainder of the field to the left. Is it aiding conservation? As a token gesture a bench has been erected underneath the first tree on the left.
