As the line from Wandsworth Common falls towards Clapham Junction, a ramp - now used for access for rail contractors' equipment and stores - slowly climbs towards the top of the cutting. This was formerly a railway line, climbing away from the main tracks to give access to a small goods yard; Arundel Close now lies on the site.
